Fulking, West Sussex

We were privileged to work on this stunning period property in Fulking, West Sussex. The owners wanted us to create a two-storey extension to blend in with the existing property which included the installation of a thatched roof and a hand-crafted juliette balcony. The interior was remodelled to create a new master bedroom with en-suite and stunning open plan kitchen diner with bespoke handmade kitchen.

Henfield, West Sussex

This property in Henfield had a very dated and cluttered interior. The new owners wanted to create a bigger living space, a guest room with private WC and a new kitchen diner.

Externally the windows were replaced and flint work introduced the bring to property back to life.

Ditchling, West Sussex

The owners of this beautiful property in Ditchling wanted to create more living space. A bespoke oak extension was designed to blend in with the existing property including bi-fold doors leading out to the terrace. A new hand-made oak porch was also constructed and finished with herringbone brickwork to compliment the new extension.

Poynings, West Sussex

A single storey extension was constructed for our client to accommodate for an open plan kitchen/diner with bi-fold doors leading out to the terrace. The extension was finished with cedar cladding and the garden was landscaped with a limestone patio and sunken hot tub.

Edburton, West Sussex

This is an ever-evolving project which we have been working on with the client for a couple of years. We have completed various phases including the extension of the car port/tractor shed to accommodate an office upstairs and a home gym.

The current phase is the removal of an existing oak structure to the exterior of the property to create a beautiful orangery. The bespoke polished concrete floor will extend through to the garden with full length glass doors giving a seamless finish from interior to exterior.

Swimming Pool

This beautiful outdoor pool with stunning views was completed in 2021 and involved the construction of a concrete swimming pool finished with glass mosaic tiling. We also created a limestone patio and landscaped the garden.

Bromley, Kent

A meticulous restoration of a rectory in Bromley which included remodelling and renovating the interior to convert in to a new premises for a veterinary surgery.

Hassocks, West Sussex

Our client wanted to update their small dated kitchen to create an open plan living space. We knocked through and installed full width bi-fold doors to optimise the level of light coming in to the space. We then installed the beautiful contemporary kitchen with feature exposed steel to compliment the design and stunning herringbone floor throughout the downstairs.

John and Ashley have been incredible over the past 2 years. They gutted an old premises and turned it into a beautiful house for me and my children. I was going through a difficult time and it was important to have builders that understood what I needed and stuck to a budget - they did this and communicated perfectly with me throughout. I trust them implicitly - they have even come to my rescue over Christmas when some bad plumbing work was done resulting in my ceiling coming in - Ashley dropped everything and helped me when no one else would. The work they have done is very high quality and they are always on hand to help with anything ongoing. They have done both the interior and exterior of my house and both are equally good. I wouldn't turn to anyone else for ongoing work and can't recommend them highly enough!

John and his team were absolutely fantastic during the build ! John was constantly communicating with me through every stage of the build explaining what they were doing and what was happening next. Not only was his team pleasant and polite but made sure the site was immaculately clean and the end of each day. As for the work, this was carried out to the very highest standard even though i on occasion changed my mind on things, it was never a problem for John and the team. I would 110% recommend Gibbs Construction i am so pleased with my new extension and the quality of work they have achieved.

We have used Gibbs Construction a number of times since 2019, and most recently with a significant renovation project. Ashley and John both have an eye for detail and are a pleasure to work with. They are quick to grasp what it is we are trying to achieve and work with us to deliver it. On several occasions they have made suggestions which have resulted in a better result (e.g. a round window instead of square). They have a good network of sub contractors who are also a delight to work with. Over the years we have had a number of pleasant surprises (e.g. something not unreasonably going to take 2 weeks but completed in 1 or over hearing us talking and then doing it). Fortunately we haven't had many concerns, however when ever we have, John is quick to address.

John & his son Ashley have completed a virtual rebuild of my bungalow. This included converting the loft into a lovely bedroom & fabulous bathroom. They reconfigured downstairs into a modern, airy space with new kitchen & shower room.They always arrived punctually and worked incredibly hard. I was not living there but the neighbours always found them to be very personable and not in the least bit intrusive. John is very good at imagining a space & what would look good. He has achieved this. The work was completed in very good time.
